Children's Chapel will resume in the fall.
Children’s Chapel gives the children of Grace Memorial a worship experience at their level of understanding. During the relaxed and interactive program, the children raise prayers to God, sing His praises and listen to His teachings.
Who should attend? All children are welcome. The lessons are geared to preschool through second grade. However, younger or older children, as well as adults, may attend.
Where is it? Children’s Chapel is located in the last two classrooms on the left. Please enter at the middle door (the one with the cross).
When is it held? Chapel is held every Sunday during the late morning worship service. Parents may bring their children to chapel early to allow themselves an adjustment time in church. About once per month, the children will join their parents in church for the full service. At this service, a children’s sermon will be presented. Check the schedule on the web site, bulletin, or Touch of Grace. How do we celebrate birthdays? On a Sunday close to the child’s birthday, he/she should bring one penny for every year of age. The pennies are dropped into a cardboard “cake” as the other children count the years out loud. A special birthday prayer follows. Twice yearly the pennies are donated to the United Thank Offering.
How can parents get involved? Parents can learn what happened in that day’s Children’s Chapel by reading the Sunday bulletin, or to see what's coming up, they can check the web site.
Please, no toys in chapel. We understand if younger children need a security item to allow for an easy separation from parents.
