Symbol of the Episcopal Church

Grace Memorial is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, headed by the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Neff Powell. Our diocese is a member of the national church, the Episcopal Church of the United States of America, which is led by the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori. The national church is a part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd. Rowan Williams.

The Diocese of Southwestern Virginia is "linked" with the Diocese of Bradford in England and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Grace Memorial is linked with two Bradford parishes: St. Saviour in Harden and St. Matthew in Wilsden. Click here for an explanation of our links with Bradford and Sudan.
